Kinnaur is the most fascinating region of the Indian Himalayas is home to some of India’s oldest traditions, legends and ancient texts. Kinnaur the land of fairy tales and fantasies has a spectacular terrain of lush green valleys, orchards, vineyards snow-clad peaks and cold desert mountains. Amongst the Greater Himalayan belt it is the highest mountains in Himachal Pradesh. Kinnaur is said to be the abode of the Indian deity lord Shiva and the traditions of this place are intact till date.
Close to the border with Tibet, entry to Kinnaur was restricted even for Indian nationals till 1993 and foreign nationals still must register themselves with inner line permit. Two river race through Kinnaur valley The Sutlej and The Spiti. Sutlej River originates (common to the Indus and Bhramaputra) in lake Mansarovar beside the holy Mt. Kailash in Tibet.
Kinnaur holds three of the world’s grand mountain ranges – the Zanskar, the Greater Himalaya and the Dhauladhar. Mount Kinner Kailash with height of 6010 m and is considered as sacred by both Hindu and Buddhist Kinnauris.

Difficulty level:
The Kinnaur Kailash trek as done is up to the Shiv Lingam and is considered as the difficult one among the other pilgrim treks.

Legend:
As per legend,this shrine existed since the time of Bhasmasur , the deadly Asur (demon) who received a boon from the deity Lord Shivaafter great penance , which entailed that any person’s heads touched by him will be turned into ashes (bhasma). Upon receiving this gift , he tried to turn Lord Shiva into ashes as he wished to possess Parvati , which would only be possible upon his death. Lord Shiva stayed in hiding , changing locations often , and
then finally came to kinnaur Kailash. He resided here for some time meditating. Lord Vishnu eventually helped him to slay the Asur , appearing to him as a woman and getting him to place his hand upon his own head , thereby killing Bhasmasur.

With huge Shivalingam (79 feet), Mount Kinner Kailash is one of the holiest shrine for Hindus. This rock formation is believed to change its colors throughout the day. Kinner Kailash is one of the 7 great abodes of Lord Shiva.

Day 1: Shimla to R.peo/Tangling

Day 2: Tangling to Ganesh bagh..

Day 3: Ganesh bagh to Gufa

Day 4: Gufa to Kinner Kailash Darshan and back to Ganesh bagh..

Day 5: Ganesh bagh to Tangling/R.peo..

Day 6: Back to Shimla

  • Maximum height to gain is 15,010 ft above the sea level
  • The itinerary may be changed on weather conditions
  • Trek can be cancelled on weather conditions
  • This is a tough trek so don’t take it lightly as a picnic, Adventure or holidays
  • Get prepared mentally and physically for this Tough Terrain
  • Strictly prohibited of smoke and drink during the Trek
  • If the Number of days increases due to any reason road block, Strikes, Govt. Ban etc extra charges Rs 2000/- will be charged per day
  • There will be no provision of stay at last day of the trek (Sangla)
  • The Himalayan Nomadian Tribe” has a team of Professional Trekkers and Local peoples

Personal Utilities
Climate

Day temperature in the sun is pleasant and windy but nights are cold. The temperature at night with rain and snow can really go down; sometimes below zero so you must be well prepared

Trek Logistics

Services provided during the trek accommodation in 2 men tents (high altitude alpine tents of good quality), heavy foam pad matters, sleeping bags, breakfast/tea, all meals, services of experienced guide and cook, camping and technical equipment, utensils, adequate medical kit, transportation during the trek.

Fitness

A good body fitness is necessary to enjoy the high altitude and trek to the fullest. Following can help you prepare for the trek.

  • Jogging 5kms in half an hour for stamina
  • Planks and squats for muscle strength
  • Stretching for flexibility
  • Uphill Training
  • Squats
  • Crunches
Cancellation terms

We must receive notification of cancellation in writing on beautifulcoordinates@gmail.com. Refunds will be calculated on the day of the receipt of the written instruction on cancellation.

Note:-

  • Beautiful Coordinates holds the right to change/cancel the policies, without prior notice.  
  • Change of trek batch is dependent on the availability of seats in the batch.
  • In case of transferring a trek to a friend, he/she should satisfy all the mandatory requirements put forward by us.

For the cancellation Policy:

No refund will be done in cash. For the cancellation of trek services due to any reasons (avoidable/unavoidable), we must be notified of the same in writing.

Cancellations prior to 30 days from the start of the trek

Book any trek till one year or get  90% refund.

(Note: If the trek charges are more, the balance needs to be paid by the trekker)

Cancellation between 30 days and 18 days to the start of the trek

Choose to go for the same trek, with any other batch or other trek till year or get 60% refund.

(Note: If the trek charges are more, the balance needs to be paid by the trekker)

Cancellation between 18 days and 10 days to the start of the trek

Choose to go for the same trek, with any other batch or get 30% refund.

Cancellation less than 10 days to the start of the trek

Transfer your trek (same trek, same batch) to your friend. No refund.

NOTE: Normally our company expect to carry your personal luggage on your own, if you don’t want to carry your backpack so you can give it to porter, but you have to inform us in advance and have to pay Rs.350/- extra per day per bag.
